Physical and Chemical changes
Physical changes: A Physical change is a type of change in which the state of matter is affected but nothing on a chemical level. During a physical change the shape of the object is affected, the phase, size, etc of the material can be changed. However the material itself is the same before and after the change. These changes can be undone after the change has been made unlike chemical changes that can not be changed at anytime after the change has been made. Some examples of physical changes are crumpling a sheet or paper into a ball, breaking a pane of glass into pieces, or freezing water into ice.
Chemical changes: A chemical change is a change that occurs on a molecular level and a new object is usually created. During a Chemical change the substances present at the beginning of the change are not present at the end of the reaction .Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, or, alternatively, decomposes into two or more different substances. also new substances will be formed at the end of the process usually involving the molecules of the object. Often during the chemical change heat, light, sound ,and fizzing occur. the reactants are also used up.Some examples of chemical changes are the formation of rust on iron, metabolism of food in the body, and baking a cake
